“Lịch sử không chỉ được viết nên bởi những sự kiện vĩ đại ai cũng biết—mà còn bởi những câu chuyện thầm lặng, ít được kể của những con người bình thường.”
Bắt đầu với những trăn trở ấy, buổi tọa đàm này sẽ mở ra cuộc đối thoại về những trải nghiệm ít được biết đến của cộng đồng gốc Việt tại châu Âu: những khó khăn, sự kiên cường, những tự sự nhỏ bé nhưng không vì thế mà tầm thường.
Với những nhà văn nữ gốc Việt đến từ các nền văn hóa và thế hệ khác nhau như Vanessa Vũ, Cécile Pin và Anna Mọi, những tự sự di dân và trải nghiệm cá nhân đã định hình nên văn chương của họ thế nào? Những ký ức về di cư, bản sắc và nơi chốn đã len lỏi vào vào những câu chuyện và hành trình sáng tác của họ ra sao?

✨ DIỄN GIẢ
VANESSA VŨ
Vanessa Vũ là nhà báo và tác giả làm việc tại tạp chí ZEIT. Năm 2024, cô xuất bản cuốn sách đầu tay Komm dahin, wo es still ist (Rowohlt), một tập thư trao đổi với chồng cô – người Syria Ahmad Katlesh – về chủ đề tị nạn, di cư và bản sắc. Từ năm 2017, cô là biên tập viên tại ZEIT ONLINE, chuyên viết phóng sự, tiểu luận và phân tích về di cư, nhân quyền và công bằng xã hội. Cô từng nhận nhiều giải thưởng uy tín như Theodor-Wolff-Preis, Helmut-Schmidt-Preis và Lessing-Preis für Kritik.
CÉCILE PIN
Cécile Pin lớn lên ở Paris và New York. Cô chuyển đến London năm 18 tuổi để học Triết học tại University College London và tiếp tục lấy bằng Thạc sĩ tại King’s College London. Trước đây, cô từng làm việc trong ngành xuất bản. Cuốn tiểu thuyết đầu tay Wandering Souls đã được đề cử cho giải Women’s Prize for Fiction, Prix Femina Étranger và vào danh sách rút gọn Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize.
ANNA MỌI
Anna Mọi, tên thật là Trần Thiên Nga, sinh năm 1955 tại Sài Gòn trong một gia đình “Bắc 54”. Sau khi đỗ tú tài tại trường Marie Curie, cô sang Pháp học Lịch sử rồi chuyển sang ngành thời trang. Cô bắt đầu viết từ năm 16 tuổi, xuất bản tập truyện đầu tiên vào năm 2001. Đến nay, cô có 8 tập truyện ngắn và 3 tiểu thuyết. Cô được Chính phủ Pháp trao tặng huân chương “Hiệp sĩ về Văn chương và Nghệ thuật”.

“History is not only written in grand events—it breathes in the quiet, often unseen stories of ordinary lives.”
This panel examines the Vietnamese diaspora in Europe through its lesser-known narratives: the struggles, the resilience, and the ephemeral connections that conventional histories overlook.
Drawing from their experiences, panelists—acclaimed Vietnamese-European writers—will explore how these realities have informed their literary works. In what ways have migrations, identities, and notions of belonging been transmuted into their literary creativity? What historical truths emerge through these texts—and how does their resonance transcend geographical and temporal boundaries?
✨ These narratives invite us to consider literature not merely as witness, but as active participant in the ongoing dialogue between memory and modernity.
✨ PANELISTS
Vanessa Vu
Vanessa Vu is a journalist and author at ZEIT. In 2024, she published her debut book Komm dahin, wo es still ist (Rowohlt), an epistolary exchange with her Syrian husband on refuge, migration, and identity. Her accolades include the Theodor-Wolff-Preis, Helmut-Schmidt-Preis, and Lessing-Preis für Kritik.
Cécile Pin
Cécile Pin grew up in Paris and New York City. She moved to London at eighteen to study Philosophy at UCL and earned her MA at King’s College London. Her debut novel Wandering Souls was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction and Prix Femina Étranger, and shortlisted for the Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize.
Anna Moï
Anna Moï (Trần Thiên Nga) was born in 1955 in Saigon to a northern Vietnamese family. After graduating from Marie Curie High School, she studied History and later Fashion in Paris. She began writing at 16 and published her first collection in 2001. She has since published 8 collections and 3 novels, and was named Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the French government.
